Rajendra Shukla visits Tiruchi Reviews Progress of MP Power Projects

Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Resources (Independent Charge), Shri Rajendra Shukla visited BHEL, Tiruchi today for review of Shri Singhaji 2x600 MW and Satpura Unit 10x11 of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited. Shri A.V. Krishnan, Executive Director, BHEL, Tiruchi briefed the Minister Shri Shukla about the company's products and services, manufacturing facilities and various other testing facilities during his visit to the wings of BHEL, Tiruchi.
Senior officials and other employees accorded a warm welcome to the Minister Shri Shukla during his visit to various workshops.
BHEL is executing orders received from M.P. Power Generating Company Ltd. for design and engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of 2x600 MW, Shri Singhaji Thermal Power Project and 2 x 250 MW capacity coal fired Thermal Power Units 10 x 11 at Satpura Thermal Power Stations located at district Betul in Madhya Pradesh. The total order of the value is Rs. 3,470 crore.
Over the period of time, BHEL has supplied around 2,380 MW thermal sets to M.P. Power Generating Company Limited and these include 1x210 MW Amarkantak; 4 x 210 1 x 500 MW Birsinghpur; 1 x 200, 3 x 210 MW thermal projects.
The ongoing projects being executed by BHEL for M.P. Power Generating Company Limited are 2 x 600 MW Shri Singhaji Thermal Power Project and 2 x 250 MW Satpura Thermal Power Project for which the Minister Shri Shukla visited BHEL, Thiruchi for reaching the milestone of Hydraulic test for these ongoing projects.
