Dialogue for village upliftment on January 21

A large-scale event for training to 3-tier panchayat raj office-bearers is being held at the state-level for the first time. The dialogue for rural upliftment is being organised by the Panchayats & Rural Development Department at Bhopalís Jamboree ground on January 21. At the event, office-bearers of Zila, Janpad and Gram Panchayats will interact to know about better implementation of rural development works. Training literature will also be distributed to participants.

Over 60 thousand panchayat representatives will participate in this event. It will be participated by office-bearers of 3-tier panchayat raj institutions. Chairpersons of all Zila and Janpad Panchayats and sarpanchas and upsarpanchas of all 23 thousand 6 Gram Panchayats in the state will participate in the mega event. On the occasion, training will be imparted to panchayat representatives for effective implementation of departmental development schemes and welfare programmes.

Besides detailed information about various schemes of the Rural Development Department, these representatives will also be given necessary information on ensuring quality in the works as well as their technical aspects. The event will motivate panchayat representatives to develop their respective villages as model villages.

An exhibition is also being installed at the venue where new technique for construction of Gram Panchayat buildings will be displayed. These buildings are being constructed through pre-fab and pre-cast technology. Awareness will be created against open-area defecation by displaying technique for constructing flush toilets. Information about the Panchayat & Rural Development Departmentís important schemes will also be given at the exhibition. This includes construction of pucca internal village roads under Panch Parmeshwar Yojna in all 23 thousand 6 villages in the state and all-weather roads and culverts under Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojna. This pictorial information will inspire panchayat representatives to turn their respective villages into model villages.
